MCCF is honored to serve as a steward for local philanthropy. Our family of fundholders represents a group of committed and passionate individuals. We are grateful for being given the opportunity to help these donors make their philanthropy personal, meaningful and fulfilling.
The Martin County Community Foundation started with a handful of donors who shared a respect for the power of education to change and improve lives. Those first fund holders created scholarships for deserving Martin County students seeking a college education. Today, education is just one of more than thirty causes supported by funds at the Foundation that change and improve lives here and abroad. Working through over 180 nonprofit agencies in its 30 year history, the Martin County Community Foundation donors support causes as diverse as the needs in the community. Their funds at the Foundation help feed families facing hardship, teach adults to read, bring health and social services to people in need, protect children and animals, bring art to public places and insure that culture enriches our community. The Foundation’s impact has expanded to include more causes since those early days, but the focus remains changing and improving lives.
